At the Institute for Solid State Physics (ISSP), Professor Masuda (then affiliated with Yokohama City University in 2008), in collaboration with Professor Kitagawa, was conducting research to confine oxygen molecules within MOFs and investigate their magnetically excited states.<br>The ISSP neutron shared-use instrument PONTA, installed in the JRR-3 research reactor, played a crucial role in this research, enabling the observation of the spin motion and molecular vibrations of oxygen molecules within metal frames like MOFs.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph
